The Building Stronger Families Program aims to increase the parenting and/or relationship skills of participants.

We have a number of programs that are designed to help Build Stronger Familles.

Some of them include:

Wednesday Women’s Walk and Talk

A casual walking group that meets each Wednesday morning 9:30am

 Meet in the foyer of the Gosnells Community Lotteries House (opposite the Gosnells Post Office) 2232C Albany Highway. A great way to do some exercise, meet new people and have a great time.

This program is not available until further notice

Heartbeat Club

These courses are run in partnership with Royal Lifesaving. They consist of workshops instructing the correct method of performing resuscitation on babies and young children, in addition to drowning prevention techniques, and First Aid information on croup, choking and burns.

Classes cost $20 per person.

To book, please ring Royal Life Saving direct on 9383 8200. Workshops are held at Gosnells Women’s Health Service. Babies can attend in prams. No crèche is available

Baby Reflex

Michelle from Inner Peace Reflexology is here to help with your unsettled baby! If your baby suffers from colic, reflux, constipation or just won’t stop crying, this is just what you need.

Baby Reflexology is an all natural technique, which teaches participants massage reflexology which can be utilised to settle your baby. The technique can be used from 1 month of age until they are 2 years old. 

Each week the class discusses topics such as feeding, sleeping and wellbeing, before practicing what has been learnt in the on your child.
Parents may bring a grandparent or friend to keep an eye on the baby during the discussion sessions if they are mobile.

Toddler Yoga

Suitable for 18months - 3 years old

Introduce youngsters to the fun of movement!

During the various yoga sessions children will use their imagination as we go on a journey to the zoo, the beach and the jungle discovering many animals along the way.

Through Yoga postures, children will build strength, gain flexibility and improve balance. It offers effective tools for stilling the body and introduces them to the concept of self-calming through the breath. In all these ways yoga helps children feel independent and accomplished.

Learn about and make a months supply of various yummy puree foods for your baby.

When: Friday 6th November

Textured Baby Food

Learn about and make a months supply of various yummy textured food for your baby.

Joining the family for dinner

Learn and come make some great toddler foods the whole family can enjoy!

* If you are interested in the courses but do not wish to make any food to take home please still come along and the session will be free.

* These workshops can be run any time during the week, if you can get a group of at least four women please call and when can arrange a time that suits you.
